Caroline joined the St Catherine’s Preschool team as a voluntary treasurer while her daughter was enrolled. This mainly involved attending meetings once a month, ensuring banking was submitted, taking over the management of the businesses income and expenditure including payment of invoices, payroll and invoicing fee payers. The finances and the systems in place needed a lot of Caroline’s time to bring up to date and she worked hard to place the preschool in a more financially secure position through budgets and organisation. Caroline understands the use of software and has introduced a couple of different packages that allow the preschool to run more efficiently. Caroline has always done the best for the preschool, to protect its continuation and respect its charity commission. Caroline has since evolved from the position of Treasurer to Bookkeeper for the preschool as it has required a lot of time, dedication and commitment which Caroline has shown in the quality of her work, making her a pleasure to work with.
